What happened before at Volvo Cars in Gent and Goteborg

From 1974 on, Paul has built up his experience in various domains in the automotive industry.
He worked there first as group leader in Supply Chain and then many years as a process engineer for the development of new processes and also for continuous improvement of existing processes. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Manufacturing _ Ford or the Toyota Production System (FPS / TPS) _ he understands by his daily applications at the shop floor.... Through his numerous contacts with the Head Quarters ,he is familiar with the various quality methodologies that Product and Process developers of large enterprises are using worldwide .
After a course of almost 2 years , he was in 2002 recognised by the American Six Sigma Academy as "Certified Six Sigma Black Belt" and then he was repeatedly challenged to help to solve intractable problems. Some of his improvement projects were awarded by the prestigious Volvo Cars Quality Award. As a Six Sigma Green Belt - trainer , he has hundreds of employees learned to work with the DMAIC methodology and supported them in the use of Six Sigma.

In 2006 , the independent Consultancy Paul Tollenaere BVBA was finally established

Paul got the opportunity to share his experience from the automotive world and its specific quality and process knowledge with other companies from different sectors .
His favorite task is driving improvement projects together with Improvement Teams on the shop floor of large or multinational companies.
In this way Company Teams learn also to practice Lean and Six Sigma techniques on their own.

Wat vooraf ging bij Volvo Cars in Gent en Goteborg

Na een opleiding van bijna 2 jaar werd hij in 2002 door de Amerikaanse Six Sigma Academy erkend als " Certified Six Sigma Black Belt " en dan werd hij meermaals uitgedaagd om hardnekkige problemen te helpen oplossen. Enkele van zijn verbeteringsprojecten werden bekroond met de prestigieuse Volvo Cars Quality Award. In 2006 werd uiteindelijk het zelfstandig Adviesbureau Paul Tollenaere BVBA opgericht

Paul kreeg hiermee de mogelijkheid om zijn ervaringen uit de automobielwereld en zijn specifieke proces- en kwaliteitskennis met andere bedrijven uit andere sectoren te delen.
Zijn favoriete job is het leiden van verbeteringsprojecten samen met de bedrijfsteams op de produktievloer van grote of multinationale ondernemingen.
Bedrijfsteams leren hiermee ook zelfstandig de Lean en Six Sigma technieken toe te passen.
